| Soldat is a unique side-view multiplayer action game. It takes the best from games like Liero, Worms, Quake and Counter-Strike and gives you fast action gameplay with tons of blood and flesh. Soldiers fight against each other on 2D battle arenas using a deadly military arsenal. This is what multiplayer was invented for.

I promised just to fix bugs in the next version but I`m terrible at keeping promises. The next version will be called 1.4 and will have some major improvements. Apart from bug fixes (like hit registering), completely rewritten lobby server code (which means faster servers list with more options), ability to resize the Soldat window without use of external programs, full support for UNICODE (asian fonts included), there will also be some new features for registered players. If you`re registered you will have the possibility to change Soldats resolution! From default 640x480 to 1280x1024 for example. Also there will be an option for a minimap which shows the whole map and your teammates! (the minimap won`t give special advantages, nothing will be displayed beyond what you see with the name tags on the screen borders). If you want to see how this all looks like, check this page. Amongst the features there are screenshots. So check it out and remember that once 1.4 is out the price of registration will go from 9$ to 12$ and later even more! So hurry up. 04-02-07 SCTFL10 sign-ups open The sign ups for one of the oldest and most succesful Soldat leagues, Soldat Capture the Flag league have been opened. The league will begin soon after the long-awaited new version of Soldat will be released. If you play in a clan and want to fight against other clans, SCTFL is for you! With hundreds of clan wars played every season, its a good chance to test your skills and get to know other clans and players. Download: Click Here NOTE: The archive only contains a linux and windows binary, so you must already have 2.5.2 to upgrade to this version. 29-01-07 New anti-cheat for Soldat I am happy to announce that the next version of Soldat will bring some changes in the anti-hacking department. It will contain the anti-cheat engine BattlEye. It is a new library capable of detecting various types of hacks with an automatic update feature to prevent new hacks all the time.
